Ancient Civilization tour of Turkey 11 Nights 12 Days
Day 01: Arrival
Arrive today in Istanbul, and transfer to hotel of your own chose.
Overnight in Istanbul.
Istanbul City from air
08:20 - Pick-up from hotel and visit the traces and heritages of three greatest empire those who left the beautiful architecture, cultural and historical sightseeing areas for us to explore in present days.
12:30 - Break for Lunch
13:30 - Continue to our city tour to pay a visit to Topkapi Palace, and then drive to Grand Bazaar (Kapali Carsi or Covered Bazaar) for some shopping time just like ancient times.
16:30 - Transfer back to hotel
17:00 - Arrival to hotel, free time and overnight.
Day 03: Bosphorus Cruise Tour
08:20 - Transfer from hotel to the meeting point and start driving around the city wall of Istanbul.Exploring and discovering the most unique corners of this lovely city.
13:00 - Lunch time at a local Turkish Restaurant.
14:00 - Proceed to the port to experience one of the unique moments of your life-time by taking a cruise on the Bosphorus River that splits Asia from Europe giving you the opportunity to observe both sides at once.
17:00 - Tour ends and transfer back to your hotel.
Day 04: Fly to Ankara & Ankara City Tour
Early morning , transfer from hotel to airport, fly to Ankara, arrival and pick-up from Ankara airport to start our this very first day in Ankara to visit the Hittites Museum (Anatolian Civilization Museum), and the Museum of Ataturk (The founder of modern Turkey) .
After the lunch drive to Cappadocia and visit the Salt Lake on the way and the Agzikarahan Caravensaries from the Seljuks of 13th Century. Arrival to Cappadocia, transfer to hotel, and overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 05: North Cappadocia Tour
Breakfast at the cave hotel , then depart for the First day trip of
Cappadocia to explore the amazing views and land of Cappadocia ,
starting by Pigeon Valley and then to Uchisar town with the Uchisar
Castle. Moving to Goreme Open Air museum which is the most significant
sightseeing cite of North Cappadocia Tour that is the list of UNESCO
World Heritage List. Visiting the early christian churches with the
paintings on the cave churches that are still observable through out the
thousand years.
End of the tour, return back to hotel, and overnight at this very special cave hotel in Cappadocia.
Day 06: South Cappadocia Tour.
After breakfast, drive to Derinkuyu where we are going to visit and
discover the largest and deepest underground city of Derinkuyu Town.
After the underground city we will drive to Ihlara Valley for a short
hiking, and exploring the magnificent views and structure of the Valley
we will stop at Belisirma town for the local lunch. After lunch drive to
Selime for a panoramic view and for a chance to take unique photos of
Cappadocia Region. Transfer back to hotel, and overnight in Cappadocia.
Day 07: Konya and Pamukkale.
Breakfast at hotel, and pick-up from hotel for a ride to Konya City.
Visit the Sultanhan Caravansary of Seljuks.Arrival in Konya City. The
city is famous for the Rumi who is the inventor of Whirling Dervishes.
We will visit the Museum of Mevlana (Rumi) and then visit the school
where they still perform the mystic Sufi Dance. After the sightseeing
trip of Konya City, we will drive to Pamukkale, arrival and transfer to
hotel and overnight in Pamukkale.
Day 08: Hierapolis & Pamukkale Tour
Breakfast and depart for a full day Pamukkale Tour to explore the
travertines of Pamukkale, and then to discover the myths of Hierapolis
Ancient City. A chance to swim in the ancient swimming pool with hot
spring. Pamukkale is famous for its white color travertines along with
the hot spring. After the excursions, drive to Ephesus , arrival and
overnight in Ephesus.
Day 09: Ephesus Tour
Again breakfast at hotel, and depart for full day Ephesus Sightseeing
City Tour to discover and experience the best preserved ancient
Greco-Roman City. A visit to the Library of Celsius, Temple of Artemis,
Ancient Theater is included in the tour. After lunch, we will drive to
the mountain. We will visit the house of Virgin Marry here. Return to
hotel, overnight in Ephesus.
Day 10: Pergamon Tour & Canakkale.
Early morning, drive to Pergamon Ancient City where the traces and ruins
of history and the ruins , historical cites of ancient civilizations
are awaiting for us to experience and to learn. Pergamon Ancient City is
well-known for its first medical center through out the history.
Different types of healing systems, such as therapy with music and with
various tactics were known to be used firstly here in history. After
the Pergamon City Tour, drive to Canakkale. Arrival and overnight in
Canakkale.
Day 11: Troy Tour.
After breakfast, depart for a half day Troy tour to visit the ruins
where the actual Troy war took place in History with the world-wide
famous Trojan Horse.
After the Troy tour, transfer to bus station, and drive to Istanbul, Arrival and transfer to hotel, overnight in Istanbul.
Day 12: Tour End & Transfer
Breakfast at hotel, and check-out (no later than 12:00 pm). Transfer to International airport for your flight back to home.
